The Firm’s steady growth necessitated a change in facility. Our new offices, located at 92 West Main Street in Chester, Connecticut, now occupy a circa 1825 site, located on the Pattaconk Brook, adjacent to Dam #3. The site was first established in 1825 as an axe helve factory, renowned for the first axe handles turned by machinery in the region.
The buildings also served as a “fulling” mill (cloth processing mill), and housed a woodturning shop and general store in 1845. The building was converted into a sawmill and joiners shop in 1920, and in 2003 was adaptively renovated to accommodate our firm's space requirements.
