A new 50 meter x 25 yard community and competition pool located in Bartlem Park is supplemented with an attached zero depth ramp, leisure area and separate wading pool. The objective of this facility plan is to accommodate the community need for both a competitive and recreational aquatic facility under one roof.

Lobby, Locker Rooms, Guard Areas, Offices and Mechanical Spaces are housed under a glued-laminated timber framed and concrete structure to gracefully withstand the facility's enormous use (as well as the aggressive interior atmospheric conditions of a natatorium). A 30,000 sf air-supported structure encloses the pool, deck and spectator area for nine months of the year, and is removed and stored during the summer months.
