The project included the new construction of a municipal swimming pool facility and youth football/soccer field to serve the West Side neighborhood.  The facility provides recreational, competitive and leisure aquatic programs in a compact 4,000 square foot pool.  The planning effort carefully considered the aquatic programs, while minimizing impact to the neighborhood scale and maximizing available fields for sports programming.

The cast-in-place, board-formed concrete bathhouse buildings provide day-lit and naturally ventilated toilet and shower facilities as well as space for park services and maintenance.  The building mass is reduced by providing two structures, resulting in a development that is respectful of the adjacent Historical Society Museum, and contributes to a community of buildings within the Park.

The lighted, multipurpose ball fields provide practice space for local football and soccer programs as well as fields for the adjacent Elementary School and Community Center.
