TLBA donated professional design services to Camp Hazen YMCA for the renovation and addition to the Administration Building at their Cedar Lake Camp facilities in Chester, Connecticut.

The new addition consists of a reception area and conference room thus allowing a partial renovation of the existing building to accommodate new office space and work area.  A new handicapped accessible entrance was created to provide access from the parking lot and the main foot path connecting the administration building to the facilities building and on to Cedar Lake.  Basic forms and similar materials were used throughout to highlight the character of the original building.  Considerable thought was given to the roof forms that provide partial cover for the entrance ramp and, along with the surrounding vegetation, provide shading for the conference room during the active summer months of the camp.
