Wallingford Community Pool Park

Wallingford, Connecticut

In the 1990’s TLBA was retained to renovate the existing Wallingford Community Pool. Once the largest cementitious pond in the nation, this one-acre, one-million-gallon pool was completely renovated, re-establishing its prominence in the community. Improved to meet current codes at the time, it received a new recirculation system, perimeter deck, site improvements, bathhouse renovations and a new bituminous concrete pool lining.

Nearly 25 years later, TLBA was once again called upon to improve facilities, but this time the project included a Master Plan of the entire Park to optimize its use for a wide range of programs. This effort included a variety of options for pool design and layout, including various approaches to shallow water, lap swim, deep water and splash pad layout. The result of this effort is a renewed park facility with a swimming pool, splash pad, playground and pavilion, as well as open space and improved parking.

Officially breaking ground on October 6th, 2025, the pool is currently under construction and the community is looking forward to again having a community pool that the will serve Town for years to come.
