Page Park Pool

Bristol, Connecticut

The project began with an assessment of the outdoor pool facilities located within Page Park in Bristol, Connecticut. The design phase evaluated several options to maximize program opportunities within the footprint of the existing developed area. The existing long course, rectangular pool had limited program opportunities for younger swimmers and the city needed expanded shallow water programming.

Renovations, completed in 2021, include a zero-depth entry with water play features, a leisure area and a six-lane lap pool. The project also included the complete replacement of the recirculation, filtration and chemical control systems, including a new stainless-steel gutter to replace the original concrete gutter.

Additionally, extensive renovations to the surrounding site and the bathhouse were implemented to maximize its functionality and provide accessibility and further the goal of the park Master Plan.
